Ahhh, that... Long story XD Well, I'll try to explain it~
Inamorata has an older brother, Kaijin who was similar to Sasuke in a way. He always felt very belitted by his sister, Sepia (his twin), and was always striving to be better than her somehow. Sepia developed her sharingon first, always ran faster, hit the target better, etc ... He and Sepia never really got along well, but when they were both 15 (so Inamorata would've been 12- she had just become a genin) they had a huge fight and Kaijin ran off to "seek his own power" so he could become better than her. Sepia ran after him, they fought, and Kaijin ended up killing her (accidentally, though in some way purposefully- hard to describe). He got his Mangekyou from that considering Sepia was technically his best friend... THat may all seem irrelevant, but.. xD;
Inamorata happened to watch the fight, seeing as she and her cousin raced after them to stop them. Ina got there first because her cousin stopped to get some more help. She saw it all and lost complete faith in not only herself, but her clan. She became reclusive and shy after that, and her parents struggled just to have her continue to be a ninja. Mostly what affected her was having her caring big-sis die in front of her eyes at the hands of her own brother. Kaijin ran off after that, so Ina never really recovered until she was 17 or so.
And there you go!

But yeah... poor kid-- at least she doesn't angst about it P: Well, her sister dying saved her from becoming an annoying moron. XD She was very obnoxious as a 12-year-old...

But, and I'm sure you've explained this before, why doesn't she have the Sharingan eyes if she's a Uchiha.
